Hi - Looking to buy a RRS....Have £20 - 22k

Hi guys, I'm new here...so please be gentle.. Smile

I've decided to sell the Z4 and go for a 4x4 after the snow we have had...

I am after a RRS. It will most likely be a 2006/2007 reg and i will be buying in the Summer...I assume they will be cheaper in the summer???? and I'll get more for the Z4.

Is 20-22k realistic?????

Should I be looking to obtain an after market warranty? How reliable are they? Having done some research it seems they are pretty reliable apart from the odd lemon...just like any other Marque i suppose...

Reliability is the number one issue for me. Should i be concerned???

I am also probably looking at the X5 and Q7.....However, the RRS is the one i am hankering after!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any major problems mate?

April may be to early for me. I'm also looking to part finance the acquisition....

Then again if I see. Decent enough spec if vehicle I might pay with cash outright selling some shares on the markets....

I've got a Z4 and a RRS. Not had the Z4 long, but love the mix of a sports and a 4WD - try and keep both if you can

Nice one Thumbs Up

Have considered it, but i cant justify having three cars between the wife and me.

She currently drives a Fabia VRS which balances my Carbon footprint Wink Moreover, the RRS will take over as a daily commuter to work....something which the Z4 currently does...

Maybe a few years in the future i may consider another soft-top....but i have become slightly bored with the Z4....and i also need the versatility the RRS will provide...

Apart from snapped rear springs..the Z4 has been bombproof.......and I drive it VERY hard.... Evil or Very Mad

I'm currently in Wolverhamton, and I have driven a RRS. But I am looking for advice from people who have owned them for a number of years.,,

Had mine for 3 years now and 50k miles....

Servicing about £600 and only other thing to watch out for is EGR valves. Mine have gone twice now.....otherwise most reliable car I've had. Suspension knocking only affects some cars....

Make sure you buy one that's been a 'city' car and you should be alright. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.
