Dazz - Mrs VA has the petrol version and it's not too bad. Driving it is like driving a normal car. It is most definately a woman's car but it's not too bad, if it's 7 seats you need it's great but I would prefer to spend the extra and get a D3. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

Thanks VA. I've got a D3 but was considering an XC90 if the Diesel Turbo lag was any better.

Don’t do it dazzpowder, for God's sake stick with the D3. I had an XC90 in 2003 & it was the worst car I ever had. First time I defected from Landy & I went running back as soon as I could.

From the very get go it gave trouble. Bit’s fell off it, it wouldn't drive down the road in a straight line, suspension trouble, steering issues, just a God awful experience. Ended up selling it back to the dealer for a loss, just to get rid of it.

I had done no more than 12K miles when I offloaded it. At that point the two rear tyres were worn on the inside, the front drivers side tyre was worn on the outside & the front passenger tyre was perfect !! Shocked

This was despite the fact that the dealer had it for a full day on three separate occasions getting it tracked & aligned by three different tyre places.

A lovely car, beautifully spec’d but a horrendous experience, not to mention frustrating & disappointing. Got no hop whatsoever from the dealer or Volvo.

It’s Landys for me from now on, never will change again.

My bro had a T4 a while back and the dealer was the most arrogant, unhelpful s Censored t you could have the misfortune to meet.

Until he ended up sh Censored ing the service manager - she was actually quite fit.

Believe me that would not have been an option with the Service Manager I was dealing with. Shocked

But now that I think of it there may have been some options open to me employing the use of power tools that I could have explored. Twisted Evil

Totally agree with Rupe, had the xc90 diesel as last car - well spec'd on the face of it but interior build quality was rubbish, turbo lag horrible -especially upon putting foot down hard at low speeds, service people had no clue how to look after the car and the engine sounds very agricultural compared to the TDV6.

Luckilly got rid of the car before the BBC watchdog story about several xc90 diesels around the u.k going up in flames because of an electrical fault in the boot area - Volvo not bothered to investigate. D O N ' T D O I T !! P400e HSE Portofino Blue and Ivory Seats.. it's like a yacht!!

Boldly Gone = Sold for 14k via Pistonheads - 2006 TDV6 SE Buck Blue/Almond int

That's one way to get (a) decent service I suppose Wink The only fit birds you normally run into in dealerships are those ones that sit and make reception look nice.
