aux jack plug point for the radio

Please could you help where is the aux plug for the radio in a 06 range rover sport i want to connect my ipod to it cheers

At the back of the centre console, near the rear seat ventilation outlets - is under a lift up cover next to a 12v socket. 07MY RRS TDV6

If they went to all the trouble of putting a socket in the back - why not also put one on the radio itself?

Maybe they think the silly old fart driver would not know how to use an iPod but the teenage kid in the back does. 07MY RRS TDV6

Yeah it always puzzled me why they put it in the back?

Doesn't seem logical at all ...
