You only ever hear the bad things if you look on websites like this, as this is where people look for fixes/repairs. Just look at how many cars there are out there compared to how many problems there are!!

I thought that about sports before I bought mine, but so glad I took the plunge. It always gives me a smile on my face. DO IT. . . . 2007 RRS TDV8 Stornaway Grey with lots of smiles..

Hi,

I'm new as well as well and also looking for a nice RR's! I've heard nothing but good things about the TDV8 possible the best engine they put in the RR's.

I'm no expert but I'm sure that there'll be one along shortly to back me up!! Thumbs Up

The TDV8 3.6 I drove didn't seem very quick to me so I went on to the Supercharged model - I'd be very interested to learn how you found the TDV8 in power compaired to your BMW?? Talking of which sorry to hear about your loss. Not wanting to put a damper on your quest to find a new P&J my insurance broker told me that these things (RR's) are a bit of a target for car thieves! That's why they quoted me more to insure it than my current Supercharged Jag 4.2XKR Cheers Laurence.

I bought my 07 TDV8 with 57k on the clock last March for circa £27k from a main dealer. Looking at the prices, I dont reckon they have dropped much, and so far, its been quite brilliant.
The engine is great. Oodles of power, a fantastic sound and, yes, a half second lag from putting the foot down to getting the bonnet rising, but you get used to that.
Mpg is average 25mpg with very little motorway work so that would improve on a long run.
Go for it!
Very Happy
