United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Java Black
tyres vredestein wintrac 4 extreme

It will soon be time to look at some new tyres for my RRS
have been looking round at some tyre tests sites and there seems to be a lot of good review for the
vredestein wintrac 4 extreme.
i am looking for the comfort a ride quality as i have gone from 20" wheels to 19" as i find them a bit too harsh on my local roads or should i say "black pot-holed gravel tracks"

has any one used or had any experience with them.
current tyre is goodyear wrangler f1 and size is 255-50-19 by the way
thanks
fraser

Most popular winter tyres we sell, some customers use them all year round.

Available in 255/50x19 or 255/55x19, lots of other sizes too.

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey

I've been using the Wintrac 4 extreme's since last winter (on 20" wheels). Recommended and purchased from Andy at AJS4X4 (excellent service and highly recommended).

I decided to give them a go all year round after a fair bit of research. In wintery conditions they are superb and certainly they feel rock solid on snow and ice (both in the UK with the bad spell that we had, and in the Alps).

With the warm weather i've been pleasantly surprised at how well they perform, and they are quiet. Certainly a vast improvement on the continentals that came with the car which had completely worn after 18,000 miles. After 8,000 miles there doesn't seem to be any obvious wear, but time will tell. I suspect that these 'winter' tyres are likely to wear quicker in warm weather.

Overall i would recommend them.

2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black

Currently have Goodyear 275 x 40 x 20

My dealer says if I change for winter tyres, I should perform a recalibration for traction control with LR ?
Correct ? 2010 TDV6 3.0 HSE Santorini Black Tan Full Leather

Pass. Maybe you should ask the dealer why?

I have no idea how you would recalibrate TC.
- They are just new tyres..... If they slip, well, TC does it's thing. 2022 P440e AB

I don't know why and how. I'll ask my LR dealership. They're usually knowledgeable.
Or maybe ask James in LPR. Cool 2010 TDV6 3.0 HSE Santorini Black Tan Full Leather
