18" Wheels on a TDV8????

Ordered 275/40/20 winter tyres for my TDV8 but now been told that they are now sold out for at least 3 weeks but they have 255/55/18's in stock...question is do the genuine 18" wheels ( which I can get on E-bay)fit over the bigger brakes found on the TDV8 and are 255/55/18(109) the right size/load????

Need to get something soon...never seen snow/thunder/lightning like this here since 1978!!!!!!!! Shocked Shocked

i don't think the 18s will fit over the brembo's. Gone,,TDV8 arctic frost,black leather,colour coded handles,rear entertainment,sunroof.
1980 Rolls Royce,shadow 2 in white.
Gone 07/57 TDV8 santorino,black leather.chrome handle's/mirror's.
Gone 02/52 FFRR vogue.

I fitted 19's a few weeks ago and didnt think they would clear the Brembos - but they do Smile

With 18's Id say youve got no chance

Thought this might be a problem...have a chance of some 19"s on flea bay...tyres may be in short supply though!!! Sad

Australia 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey

18" won't fit over the Brembo brakes.

If you go for 19" then you can get 255/55/19 Goodyear MT/R which should work fine as a winter tyre. 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey with Alpaca premium leather, Adaptive cruise, Adaptive Bi-xenons, sunroof, Premium Nav, Premium ICE Logic 7, telephone, active locking rear diff, console coolbox, seat memory, powerfold mirrors, tow pack, window tint, dual battery, engel fridge, Goodyear Mud-Terrain tyres.

Pity this tyre is discontinued now Sad They do work great in the snow I'm disapointed that they no longer make them.

There is an 18" rim that will fit the brembos on the TDV8 made by Compmotive, if you search for them on here you will find a few threads about them. Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

Try and keep your dealer in the loop just in case of warranty issues.

Remember to tell your insurers - if you had an accident and were on non-standard and non-recommended wheels/tyres they might invoke the 'small'print' especially if it was an expensive bump!!

Hi Alicatt, they are still being made as I just imported some from the USA about 4 weeks ago.
