Cold starting.

Newbie here -The manual states I shouldn't depress acelerator whilst starting vehicle. 4.2 Supercharged 2005. Yet it wouldn't start today until I taped the gas? Should I be concerned or is just due to the weather ( it was -2 ). Any advice appreciated. Peachy.

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

Hi mate, i started mine today after it had been stood since first thing yesterday and it was totally covered with 4" of snow. The temp here is -3 and it fired up without a pause and i wasn't even sat in it to press the accelerator.

That said i only use high octane 99 ron fuel which i have read helps cold starting, id say its not normal for you to have to press the pedal to get it to start.

Perhaps the fuel pump was frozen or something Sad

Keep an eye on it.

Carl
