It was also in for a service and some other bits and pieces, think they had it for 3 days in total.

LPR are great guys (that said I still have not met James, I have been there few times but never managed to catch him!!). You should not worry at all, they'll take care of your car the same as 5* hotel takes care of you when you rent their super deluxe suite!

Could you please let us know when it gets fixed, what was replaced and how it feels now. I am thinking of taking mine to LPR as well. Mine is getting a bit worse during the first 5-6 miles drive, I can feel the noise progressing from the front suspension towards the middle of the car now, and the noise gets more noticeable.

Regards, Vadim A.

Vadim,
My RRS has been to them before and as you say they are top notch when it comes to getting things sorted Very Happy

It is also having the tail gate sorted out because i have to push it up by hand to get it to open fully Sad

I have not met James either and this was my third visit to the dealership, was going task to see him but then thought maybe next time.

It is all the sales people walking around in suits that intimidates me, i hate suits.

I almost got away not wearing a suit to my own wedding Rolling with laughter , even when i do where a suit it has to be Reservoir Dogs style (the shirt will never be tucked in and the tie will be loose).

Anyways once sorted will let you know what happened Thumbs Up TDV8 HST STORNOWAY ON A 58

Vadim,

Very expensive repair (£1700+) thank god i had the warranty.

All the above was also done to my RRS and some extra work as well to the rear suspension, cant remember what Wayne exactly told me because i was in laa laa land and could only see my bed in front of me (finished a night shift) Yawn

Got the shock of my life when i started driving it Shocked totally different vehicle, totally different drive, had to get used to it again.

Everything was so much more responsive. Very Happy

No knocking noise, no squeaking sound when going over speed humps and taking slow turns. Very Happy Very Happy

All in all think it was the best two days that any of my motors have spent at a dealers. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Thank you for your post, AZIZBBU.
My God, you had a major repair! How old is your car? I ordered new tyres today and I shall book and appointment with LPR once the tyres come in, so that LPR install them for me Thumbs Up Vadim A.

Vadim,

Its a 58 plate tdv8 hst.

Never been driven off road or anything like that.

But as you may know with any car once something goes wrong its never a cheap repair.

From what i hear most RRS's with this problem have had this work done so its best to have it checked out Thumbs Up TDV8 HST STORNOWAY ON A 58

Indeed, it's good to have it checked. Very interesting how dramatically the feel of the car has changed after fixing its suspension. Vadim A.

Before the repair the steering felt slightly heavy, but i took it for granted, that's how it should be.

Got into the car today and had to keep on correcting myself because the steering felt so much lighter. just needs getting used to again Thumbs Up

Like i said it feels like a totally different car, all for the better. TDV8 HST STORNOWAY ON A 58
