Don't waste your money on anything but the genuine ones mate. If your handy with a socket set you can fit then yourself too. I bought mine on fleabay and it took less than 2 hours for me to fit them. I've just removed them to re-fit on my new car when I get a chance. 16 model year yulong white autobiography

Agreed,

someone on here tried supplying me copies and passing them off a genuine, the brackets were clearly not to a landrover spec or quality, the step bit though was very good.

Genuine all day long.

Any chance of some DIY instructions for fitting genuine steps please ?.

I have just bought a set of eBay and the LR instructions arent the best, some words of car / hints would be most welcomed. I need to cut the sills as the kit doesnt come with pre cut ones, what tool will i need ?.

Thanks

Carl

Hi Carlos

I recently fitted side steps to my RRS, I found the instructions quite good if you take it slowly and use them as you remove and re-fit the parts. I tried to read and understand the instructions from the comfort of my living room and found them quite difficult to understand.

The only tricky bit is cutting the old trim for re-use, I beleive the kits used to come with the plastic sill covers pre cut but that has now ceased and you have to re-use the old trim.

You should have a template for both sides in the kit which you tape to the old trim with masking tape prior to cutting, don't forget to measure twice and cut once!!

Good luck.

Jim
