Is there a reset procedure for the S/C gearbox ?.

Hi all

I want to drive my S/C in sport mode and its a bit jerky and changes gear at odd times which i assume is down to the learnt driving style of the last owner ?.

Anyway, on so many other cars there is a reset procedure (was key in pos 2 then accelerator to floor for 5 secs in my SL) is there a procedure to reset the gearbox on the S/C ?.

Thanks

Carl

Hey bud,
What exactly do you mean by odd time? Can you give an example? Vadim A.

Hi Vadim

For example i am driving along in sport mode (revs are a touch higher than normal as expected) and then the gearbox just kicks down a gear making the car surge a bit if you get what i mean. It can do this going in to / coming out of corners etc aswell. Its as if its not sure what its meant to do and my throttle responses are confusing it.

Its not a problem as such i just think its a bit jerky and erratic in its up and down shifts and i thought a reset to learn my driving style might help.

Changes are smooth etc just a but unexpected at times.

Do you know a procedure for resetting ?

Carl

I seem to recall that disconnecting the cars battery for a while sets the adaptive gear box back to its default settings. The auto box could need a fluid change which has been discussed a lot on the D3 site. One of the sponsors can do a mobile Mega Flush and a lot of D3's have been transformed afterwards.

I am not aware of such procedure, but I have heard the same about the fluid change. Not sure if it applies for RRS though. Vadim A.
