Hilton Park Lane's newly refurbished rooms on 21st - 24th floors are pretty good. Nicely fitted out and great views. About £200 a night though ..... RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

Lanesborough much classier and elegant. Hilton is too 1980's in my opinion...... |

Jumeirah Carlton Tower - think I looked at the wrong one first - this looks nice - and only 0.8miles from Natural History Museum

I second the Mandarin and the Baglioni - especially the Baglioni, great bar there (even though I don't drink) and next to the Mandarin, you will see the worlds most expensive apartments.....Candy bros worst development! |

St Martins Lane is really nice but very modern and stylish so if you are not into the whole modern minimalist thing then it won't be to your taste.

St Martins is my fave - great location, but a bit of a treck for him as he wants one in Kensington/Knightsbridge...but I agree, great hotel .... |
