United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Nara Bronze
Best discount

We are looking to buy a brand new RRS HSE or possibly a new 2010 facelift model thats 12 months old.

A brand new RSE HSE with the extras we want is around £56k, we have seen one for sale at a main dealer thats similar spec for £50k but is 12 months old.

So on face value there is £6k price difference. What kind of discount would be expected from a main dealer on a brand new RRS HSE with extras compared to one 2nd hand (again at a main dealer)? i.e. are they likely to knock a couple of grand off a 2nd hand one but unlikely to discount a brand new one at all?

We will be buying it with no part ex.

Best deal I can see at moment is on Parkers - £3753 saving

http://www.buyanewcaronline.co.uk/land-rov...mandshift/

I have bought new in the past through Autobytel and Broadspeed with good discounts, P/x and/or cash but this time I bought a 6 month old/2010 facelift/ex-LR fleet because I did not want to wait months for delivery - saved £6k and got the spec I wanted Thumbs Up Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still hoping for a S2 one day!

I have never seen anything like buyanewcar.co.uk - how does that work?

Is it really a better option to going direct to a dealer?

I bought from James at Lookers approx 18 months ago
Admittedly that was the absolute trough of the market yet still the local dealers wouldnt offer discounts which I found ridiculous

And dont get me started on Lexus LOL
A free set of mats on an obsolete car with no discount and a refusal to volunteer its replacement was a month away - hmmmmmmm

Anyway the most striking part of the whole process was that a brief chat on the phone quickly resulted in a sale

It was honestly refreshing to be offered a good deal without any haggling or bullshit

Give them a ring and mention the forum

I dont think my experience is unusual here
If you have no PX you will probably be given a straight price to either take or leave

Good luck!

They are basically brokers and pass you on to a dealer.

When I used autobytel and broadspeed the deal was done through LR Dealers. First time I got an excellent p/x second time was a cash deal.

One time I just told my local dealer the deal I had been offered on internet and they beat it Very Happy Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Dealers seem to be discounting their remaining 2010 stock at the moment in preparation for the MY2011 cars arriving. You will get a better deal on one of those. WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award
