England 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black
Almost a Sport S/C owner

Hi all

Went to local dealers ( Guy Salmon, Maidstone ) to buy a MY10 D4 but they had placed my Wifes sweetest candy right in front of the entrance, a RRS S/C in black, it had taken me months to groom the wife to go for a D4, a fight insued which carried on even while we sat ordering my D4, had it not been for a wait of at least 3 months for my D4 with a VAT increase included i may, may have won...

Anyway pick up MY Sport S/C on Tuesday and i have to say I CAN'T BLOODY WAIT.....

Nice wheels Rislar

Richard, no its the 4.2, saved me 15k on purchasing the D4 though, which is going straight back in the wifes purse but i may get a pocket money raise...BONUS..

Problem is we are a "want it now" couple, couldn't have a D4 in any reasonable time so had to go home with something, its immaculate, 29k on a 06 plate. We refused the test drive ( maybe a bad move ) just trust the fact its from a rep dealer with 12 months warranty, so its should be more of a treat when we pick it up, Shocked

Will post pics when i get it.

Phil

Phil, is a D4 the new LR4? Sorry I'm new to this forum and based in the US.

I just picked up my 06 RRS s/c last week and I love it as well.

Hi LocalBrew

Yup D4 is the LR4, i think the official wording in UK is D4 but if i mention LR4 we all know what is mean't.

Congrats on your S/C, i have been stretching my face's smile muscles in anticipation of collecting mine, i have been told to expect to be smiling constantly while driving a RRS S/C and want a natural smile and not look like i am suffering from a bout of lower bowel wind.

Phil

I was over Guy Salmon in the week and me and my mate was looking at that one. Didnt look in detail but it seemed a nice clean example

I've enjoyed my first week of proper s/c ownership - keep the 15k spare tho for petrol lol

Hi M4CES

Pick it up Tuesday hopefully. Did you end up buying yours from Guy Salmon, Maidstone or elsewhere, have you had any dealings with this dealer at all, good, bad?

Just hope i made the right decision, fuel i am used to, i drive a V8 Disco at the mo thats usually in single figures.

Phil

I have dealt with the parts and service department a few times since i bought mine and they seem really helpful

I bought mine from Austin Owens in Waltham Abbey but a few mates have bought from Guy Salmon and said they are sweet as.

almost a RR owner../Newcastle plates/models

Get yourself a r/r sport without any qualms - you won't regret it all all.

But get the bigger block. 3.6 v8 at least, or you will be underpowered for sure.

There are 4 or 5 in the St James' (Footie/Newcastle) carpark, including Allan Shearer's 4.5 litre special
in a special pearlecant green. It is '4 Putt' no' plate as well; and a 88ss that is someone's.

I 'm getting 'ar08 apr' on my rr this week when someone get's their finger out. Me I Think.

Putting 100 ar on the new Jag s/top. This is 5.0 litre as well. Goes well, my old son...
