I see a business idea, train some babes to do top class topless detailing.
Imagine what you could charge to have them topless for 5 hours plus Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

The prices are not as bad as I thought.
£500 for a 48 stage exterior treatment makes the stealers £300 odd for a treatment look even more rediculous.
I have seen a stealers 'valeter' Supagard a new Disco. He used a Supagard sponge that had already been used at least once before, did not do complete panels and took the polish off withen a few minutes £300 thankyou very much Rolling Eyes

It's Zymöl carnauba wax so it's a non-permanent waxing, totally different to the Supaguard coating.

The complete 'kit' they'll be using is around the £100-£200 mark I'd guess, and they'll use around £10-£20 worth of product to do a £500 treatment. Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

In my experience Supagard is far from permanent.
That £500 treatment does include all of the paint correction as well (no swirl marks etc) which of course Supagard will not change.

Not that I would pay £500 as I actually like polishing my car myself but just comparing this to the dealers 'treatment' I know that if I had endless funds and no will to do it myself I would rather pay him £500 than the rip off dealer prices.

In the grand scale of things, do modern cars really need paint protection unless you are going to hammer it off road?

In which case, why not invest in the venture tape (I think it's called!) which RRUK has had fitted.

My Beemer has been used up and down M'ways/A roads/B roads/town driving racking up 44k miles in 18 months and the paint is still as good as it was when I got it.

I have only ever cleaned it once in its life, the rest of the time I've had 'Hand-jobs Embarassed ' at a fiver a time.

I'm sorry but I just don't see the sense in it.

£500 is 6-7 full tanks of fuel and I would get more enjoyment out of driving my RRS for 6-7 tanks worth of fuel than I would cleaning it.

I'm not having a dig - Each to their own! Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

Does anyone know whether this actually works?

I remember laughing out loud watching Top Gear when the showed a demo vid from Mercedes testing factory showing off their new IR adaptive cruise control.

They had journalists strapped into a new S Class and it was driven through thick fog on cruise control towards a wall. They had reassured everyone to relax as the car would detect the object, slow down and grind to a stop.

It ploughed straight into the wall at 30 mph Rolling with laughter Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad
