Having owned both, and both are TDV8s I would say that it depends what you want out of the car.
RRS TDv8 has firmer suspension settings and the trick anti-roll bars are excellent at keeping the car flat and roll free in fast corners, the boot is a lot small compared to FFRR if that is important.
FFRR tDv8 that I have is a 2010MY, the engine is far smoother, quieter and I get 3-4mpg better consumption than I did in the RRS (but 2010 FFRR has higher 6th gear than previous years). The chairs in the FFRR are flatter and softer but extremely comfortable. FFRR rolls a huge amount in fast corners and I find that I am driving local roads that I was used to driving in the Sport at 50-60mph I have to drive much slower for comfort. One shortcoming of the FFRR over the Sport is that on FFRR is that the back doors are a lot smaller making strapping kids into their rear seats awkward or access for older people not easy. I miss my RRS for sure in some respects but love the FFRR for is sublime comfort, superior climate control, bigger boot and flawless build quality
As you are also talking about a 3.0litre FFRR(it isn't a V6 either, it's a BMW straight 6) I would say in comparison to that even the 2.7TDv6 RRS is a preferable buy - I had a Td6 FFRR before my first RRS! A new 3.0TDv6 would be my recommendation too or a late plate 2010 FFRR Vogue or Vogue SE TDv8 3.6 would also be worth having a drive of 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW
