I don't see what the problem is. I have never worked in my life and I am on benefits.

and those nice people who hide their millions in tax havens like Monaco and then get asked by the government how to improve the economy - they're just as bad. As always it's law abiding, middle Britain who will be hit hardest.

no hard hat required!!! you are totally right, if you are on 150k then tax at 50% on most of it ,then that is fine, i could handle that, but it is the middle income bracket that is really suffering - i am, i suppose one of the targets of the removal of family allowance, we dont need it, but it was nice knowing that the 80 odd quid we pay direct into an isa would pay for a wedding/first car or deposit on a flat for the young uns! cheers dave MY10 TDV6 SE (debadged ), Santorini Black, Flappy paddles, Privacy Glass, 20" Stormers, Mudflaps! VA, you should wear a hard hat!!! I agree on middle Britain but am sure most of middle britain would do the same thing with there taxes if they could afford it as stories like this are why I would prefer to keep my hard earned cash then give it to the goverment to waste it on lazy gits! Noticed one of them in the paper hasn't worked for 17 years through a bad back yet he has been riding in trail bike events or similar, allegedly! When i bust my back up in an accident I retrained (at my own expense I hasten to add ) and went to find something else. I was told there was funding available for retraining from the Jobcentre and I told them the courses I required! I'm still waiting for a reply to the letter and two emails telling them the courses and asking about the funding so did it myself. Even complaint letters to the boss of the local Jobcentre and my MP went unanswered!! Mind you he is labour so he would have been too busy flapping about not getting re-elected..................

I agree. I pay VAT, income tax, company car tax, National Insurance, corporation tax etc etc etc!! The bottom line is that the benefit I get from the country in terms of policing, street lights, NHS, etc etc etc (i.e. everything taxes pay for) is a lot less than what I pay in. Others get a lot more than what they pay in (some pay nothing and get the most back!) Any (legal) way I can find to reduce my tax I will pursue as I pay far far far more than my fair share as will most of you. |
