Rupert - my wife has the Canon 350D she liked its lightweight feel

We also looked at the D350, but it was the "feel" that decided it. The Nikon feels much more solidly built, whereas the D350 felt rather plasticy.

As for shutter delay, I can't say that I have noticed any delay on the D70. On the other hand, my little Epson digital camera suffers terribly, but it is dependant on the memory card in use.

No probs Paul - we actually recc the D70 to our friends as its technically a much better camera, however Mrs MDP at the time got a great deal on the 350D Black with USM lens. and being much lighter is what she really liked Very Happy
