I've not had good results with chips away. They wanted to paint the whole panel rather than just the scratch and did it very badly. The end results are really down to the individual operator but when painting the whole panel they are never going to get get great results with a mobile unit. I have managed to find a local guy from chipsaway says he has 15 years in the trade so hopefully he is pretty decent. Got him coming out Saturday to take a nose at the damage, but cant do anything for 3 weeks as fully booked up which I hope is a good sign. Last thing I want is a bodge job on a month old motor. |

I hit a deep pot hole at about 30 mph in a Tuscan about a year ago. It left a nasty crack right down the front bumper. I was furious, the amount of road & council tax I pay there was no way I was going to pay for it repaired. After a couple of letters from a barrister friend problem solved they payed the bill, it was actually easier than I thought it would be!

i got a local FINA garage to pay for repair when one of their forcourt signs, with a larger X shaped base was stood on a kerbed area, one of the feet scraped the car i had at the time, lucky the side skirt only and they paid up no problem |
