New Owner of a 2007 TDV8 engine smoke ?

RR Sport Experts

I have just bought a 2007 TDV8 HSE with 55K and FSH, the car drives well but I have noticed that when accelerating hard the car responds well but produces quite alot of blackish smoke, never having owned one befroe is this usual?

No smoke is produced on idle unless reved hard.

Any advice grealty recieved

Thanks

I believe that is pretty normal for a diesel of any age or make, so I personally would not be worried. I do hope it sounds glorious when you're giving it the beans n blowin your smoke! Very Happy L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

Thanks for your feedback, really appreciate it, never having owned one before I was getting worried that there might be a problem.

The cars great, wish I had bough one years ago

Most diesel's with no DPF will smoke a wee bit until the turbos spool up after that there should be little or no smoke unless of course it has been aggressively mapped then it might smoke a bit. Cayenne Turbo "S" 521bhp Standard Smile

I treat the smoke as a proper smoke screen. If someone is tailgating me then I stomp my foot on the accelerator and by the time the smoke clears, I've vanished over the horizon and they wonder where I went!!
