Pics of new car - not a RRS though!

Well I bit the bullet and got a new car yesterday! Some of you on here knew I was looking at an Aston Vantage - and I saw a gorgeous white one, with clear rear lenses. It was lovely! But seeing as I wasn't actually going to be in a position to buy outright until Dec/Jan, I thought I would lease one - and for £1400 a month - it was a little scary!

So....my next choice was a BMW Z4, in white, with a Cream Design Interior and 19'' wheels - and I pick it up in Essex tomorrow! I will post some pics. It's the 35iS Version with Dual Clutch gearbox.

The Aston will def be coming, and I think I will just keep me RRS as is and the Mrs will get the Z4.

I've forgotten the excitement attached with going to pick up a new car!

It was sooooooo lovely, an 09 reg with Sportshift. But I must admit to this - on the test drive, in a village of no kerbs - I did in fact kerb one of the wheels! Made even worse by the fact I told him we would not be buying the car after agreeing to buy it. A cheque is on it's way for the damage!

The car didn't have the awful bee sting aerial, had new style wheels, and piano finish interior. Even though the Sat Nav has been updated, it still looked awful. The new glass key was gorgeous as was the amazing 4.7 (up from 4.3) engine.

I just have to wait until January now.....

Yes they still have the Volvo pop-up set and get severely criticized for it's uselessness and slowness in all the motoring mags regardless of which Aston/Volvo you are buying. It was a good idea at the time but now looks so 1970's and way out of place in a high end car. Maybe it's time that the Aston guys at Gaydon walked next door to JLR and asked for some advice from the Jaguar interior design team and borrow some of the JLR satnavs 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

That's the "old" version, the latest upgrade gives it 1000bhp/tonne and it out runs a Veyron in a drag race from the lights which must be truly scary in such a small and open car 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Jay had one of those Z4's when they first came out, as a courtesy car if I remember rightly...........with Jaymann Inc. running a huge fleet of Beemers, it was only right he got to drive one first! Wink

.......only criticism was as with most bmw's, absolutely no passion. Didn't stop us ragging its a$$ off for a few hours though Cool

I nearly bought the Z4M a few years ago and obviously the old shape.....it was quick but one hell of a trashy ride and for me lacked presence. L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

Surprisingly, well for me anyway, Aston were giving 20k off a new Vantage and from what I hear it's the norm these days.....

One year old at 70k made better sense. But it will have to wait and maybe i can save 5-7K by January.....

Still wish it was that i was getting but sensible hat on. Will post pics by Sat....
