Roof rails removal.. Part replacement?

Hello all!
I have the roof rails and cross rails on top of my rrs but so sick of them ESP that everyone has them plus I never use them..
So i wanna remove them my understanding is I need to remove the cross bars and then the rails...
So is there a part i need to install to restore the factory roof as it came? I don't have it!
Can I leave the roof without it? Also whats the part number!

Shame your in Lebanon. You could of had my bits and I would have paid you for the rails!!!!

You need the gutter inserts as I guess yours have been cut down to fit the rails.....

So i NEED to replace the part that came with it?
a guy who sells used parts asked for 275dollars! crazy guy!

what happens if i dont replace the the part that comes with it?

buckblue, why don't you just remove the cross bars, and leave the roof rails in place? Confused RRS TDV8 Buck Blue (no, not now in my dreams). ..........D3 TDclankety clankV6 ............BMW 318i
