Welcome to the site. The solution is simple with the RRS - wait until the warning comes on that the break pads are shot and get an independent to replace. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

That is very interesting VA. I might just do that actually. but I read somewhere that there are only 2 sensors installed. One in front (left or right wheel), and another rear one. So if one without the sensor gets used out you never find out about it... True or flase? Regards, Vadim A. |

The pads should wear evenly though, although more load o the front brakes, but if there is a sensor front and rear it shouldnt be a problem unless you have a sticking brake or something but thats another problem and hopefully you would know it before the pad was shot. If you're regularly off-road, you can get uneven wear via the traction control operation. particularly if you drive the same route all the time. Not likely though .......... 2015 RRS SDV6 SE, Santorini Black, GOE 2-way HS rods, Traxide dual battery, 275/55R20 Nitto TerraGraplers 2015 Discovery 4 SDV6 HSE - GOE 3-way HS rods, GOE underbody plates and sliders, 275/65R18 Courgia MT |

Only one sensor on each wheel, have been reports of un-even wear, which has caught people out, but not that often.

I have had 3 sets of pads all round and on 2 occasions they have marked the discs quite badly - even at Wokkas day out my pads were screeching like nuts and has a sensor ever shown up on my display? NEVER!! How's that then? |

I had an MOT in March where I was told the front brake pads needed replacing, which they did. The car was booked in the next week for a yr3 service where I was told the front brake pads were 30% worn! I had only done about 100mls since replacement!
