Suspension - Directional Control Valve

Hi guys, i'm new in town!
Would appreciate some help with a suspension problem and after reading a few threads on here there seem to be an alarming number of them!!!!
Amber suspension light has been coming on for a week or 2 and further investigation reveals a fault which the Diagnostics are saying is 'Directional Control valve 1 - Current exceeding limits' or words to that effect.
Does anyone have any experience of this and its ease of putting right or am i going to be banging my head against a brick wall, a wall probably belonging to Stratstone in Swansea which incidentally is repairing it this Friday. If i'm honest i don't have a great deal of faith in them!!!!
Been quoted 2 hours labour and 90 quid parts which hurts as the car was only 3 weeks out of warranty when the fault 1st appeared.
Any views greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Jase

I figure you have some sort of diagnostic tool.
Are there any fault codes in addition to the words? Malaysia Boleh!

C1B0319 refers to a fault with Directional control valve 1.
Either the Directional control valve 1 circuit has very low resistance OR
the Directional control valve 1 circuit is short circuit to power.

The problem is you have to continue using the the diagnostic tool to check the directional control valve circuit in order to pinpoint the fault.

I think it is Dynamic Response related. The DCV's are non-serviceable and failure of a DCV requires replacement of the valve block assembly.

Afraid its a dealer job, sorry. Malaysia Boleh!

Ok thanks, much Appreciated.
Sounds expensive, gulp!
What is the matter with these things???????
3 years old, 25,000 miles, never been off-road. Its had anti-roll bar bushes replaced and a mass damping kit last service in May. Now this!

Its not the end of the world...
Could be the securing nut, coil or O rings which are serviceable parts. Wink Malaysia Boleh!
