My late father took part on D-day as a film cameraman - he was wounded/shot and his pictures were the first to return to UK to be shown at cinemas of the landings. We still see the pictures on TV now and again but unfortunately my father died a few years back. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Which is why we still have Remembrence Sunday/ Nov 11th - so we may never forget their sacrifice and it really p*sses me off when some MP (usually a left wing one) stands up and says we should forget the past and do away with the parades etc. I believe that we must never forget that sacrifice, but we must not let the past get in the way of friendships today. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

It is true that we can not change the past, we should welcome and enjoy our new friendships and Allies, but should not forget what ordinary people, on all sides, were made to endure to get where we are. Sod the PC MP's, the past can not be rewritten or forgotton, it was what it was, remember, honour, and learn purple people eater
