Try spraying them with a mixture of washing-up liquid and water and recycle a trigger-pack bottle as the sprayer - the detergent does something to their wings that means they cannot fly! This works really well on what we call onboard The Egyitian Airforce - whenever we transit the Suez Canal the ship ends up with swarms of flies onboard and that mixture works better than most specialist fly sprays - the other thing that knocks then down is a Chinese $1 battery powered "Electric Fly Bad" (to quite the label) it's the size of a tennis racket bad instead of strings it has a mesh of wires connected to a battery - touch fly with it and the get instantly fried as there is a capacitor in the system that produces a good belt of electricity on the mesh - touch a fly (or human hair even) and there is a loud crack and a burning smell - and an ex-fly stuck to the wires! Only thing is don't do what one Suez Canal Pilot did on my last massage through the canal and tried to use the "bad" as a fly swat and smashed it on the bridge window ..... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
