Walking in west London this morning I strolled down Park Lane from Marble Arch doing some car spotting in the showrooms and the streets: Aston Martin had a nice display of unaffordable dream cars including a Rapide, usual load of tat in the BMW window, the Mini showroom had a Clubman JCW at an eyewatering £35700 and a Cooper D that according to the techie sheet was metallic black but unless I have gone Black/ Gold colourblind was distinctly Gold gold - close inspection of the panels showed it was a wrap. Several Lambos and Ferraris later Mercedes had nothing much to show us but then I got to The Dorchester hotel carpark which looked like an outdoor showroom for Rolls Royce and Land Rover...... lined up were no less than 2 two tone pearlescent White and what I can only describe as "buttermilk" Phantoms, a matching Phantom Drophead, a Ferrari 4 seater and get this a matching new Mercedes Sport ( the one with gull wing doors!) all of these were on single digit number plates from The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Also in the lineup - 2 Range Rover Sport Autobiographies one with chauffeur sst in the drivers seat and parked at the front door itself a Black Disco4 HSE with a Thrifty sticker on the rear window! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
