Firstly, surely £wise the S/C will compare with the Cayenne S, not the Turbo. Secondly, has anyone actually sat in or driven the Jeep? It is truly an abomination of a car. And we whinge about the odd quality niggle... I'm sure it does have a great engine and goes like off a shovel but that's the point, it is s t! Actually the newer Cherokees are a lot better cars than the old ones. Imho, they still won't hold a light to the RRS or even the Cayenne come to that... but they're not the sh** they used to be.

It was one of the new ones? A friend of the wife's has just chopped her FL in for one and although I'd not have one myself, it was a much better car than the old one (i.e. the one you'd have bought in 2005)... When I say better, I'm only referring to looks & interior quality etc, obviously haven't driven it.

I had the previous Jeep Grand Cherokee and it was all right. V8 gave it some power but only 13 mpg. The car wollowed a bit. Test drove the new GC before we bought the Volvo - the interior is rubbish but liked the exterior - drive was still wollowy! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
