There is obviously no kerb sign, hence the cracks are surely due to the collapse of material which has not been designed properly for daily stresses.

Suicidal to be buying cracked, then repaired alloys on a 2.7t car, cheap or otherwise |

I'm going to revive this post from the dead. Do you have any updates on your situation with Rinspeed/Borbet? I'm very curious on how this played out. JC |

EU consumer rules are dead easy to enforce through small claims courts too so you don't even have to claim in the UK, you can do it locally through a court in Portugal. Friend of mine had to demand money back from Electrolux for a deepfreeze bought for his yacht in the Canary islands that was installed by their fitters there and then never worked properly - he sued them through the local court in Oban, Scotland 3 years later and Electrolux thought they were wasting their time sending somebody to the hearing .................... cost them dear as they were then in contempt of court as well as failing to pay up! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

That looks awful. I'd say the material is just wrong; alloy wheels should buckle not generate fatigue cracking and certainly not crack on kerb impacts even. This is dangerous! - I hope they are stopped from selling these pronto.
