Is there anyone on here that is an expert in radio transmission that could answer what should be a simple question on transmission of radio signals in relation to an iphone case? MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

Perhaps some explanation might help.
I really don't fancy having a $1 bumper around my iPhone 4 so I've been looking for an alternative to stop premature drop outs when i forget to hold it in my right hand.
Found this case,looks amazing but a poster on another forum has suggested because it is metal rather than rubber it will attenuate the signal and therefore won't make things better but worse,anybody out there that has any knowledge of telephone transmission signals that can comment?

I'm guessing it will have a protective coating on the inside of the case, if its rubber or other non-conducting material it would be fine

Saying that I'm typing on my IPhone 4 with a £2.45 cover from eBay holding it in my left hand whilst typing and the bars are on 1 bar, if I hold it not covering the 'area' the bars max out

I have to keep taking it's case off as it won't fit in my brodit car holder, but protects it against dropping damage when it's on

Have you downloaded 4.01 update fix to correct the algorithm

Nope,tried about 50 times up to now,starts and say 20 minutes download time,gets to 30 secs and drops out with an error message that server has broken link,I was told is was Apple server overloaded but beginning to think I have a 500Mb download limit on mine  MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

this kinda proves a point. iPhone v Android. iPhone is all about the 'label' i.e. the design and not the functionality; the looks and not the practicality. The Android operating system that other Smart phones use beat the iPhone hands down - but they are not deemed cool enough. If you see a bandwagon - it's too late.....
