Great, after all the arguments with LR on my 1st sport and the s@ity continental tyres I was glad when the 2nd sport came on perellis ... But my sc came on contis and after 7900 miles BOTH front outer edges are wearing!

Good luck with the Contis. I spoke with them about the lack of tread at the edge and they say the tyre is designed like that on purpose! Ive binned mine and bought Hankooks and they are quieter with much better road holding in the wet. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

Yep mine are looking worn on the edges after only 8k miles. I'll be keeping a close eye on them.
TBH I dont like them anyway, especially in the wet! If you hit a puddle at the side of the road they really aquaplane and pull badly to the side the puddle is on! And living in the North East we do get our fair share of wet days I won't be putting Contis back on the car. I noticed the shoulders wearing on mine after about 2k, i am now on 5K and at the rate there wearing i will be lucky to 10k out of these continentals.

I check tyre pressures and all spot on. (lookers checked too), im not sure if its a 4 wheel alignment issue or the crap tyres (seems there are lots of wear issues with continentals).

Have spoken to James on the issue and lookers are quite prepared to get the car in and give it a good look over.

There have been a lot of issues with the Continental tyres on the Volvo Forums for the xc90 too. Saying that my RRS was on Pirellis and at 9000 odd miles they were pretty well unmarked. 2500 miles of that was towing the caravan too. Current, M135i in Estoril Blue with more extras than the cast of Ben Hur.
