Hello everyone.

I am considering buying my first RRS. Thinking of a used 4.4 V8 SE or HSE auto, with probably high mileage, as I hardly drive a lot (less than 3000 miles/year). A low mileage one, which would obviously cost me more, will just be sitting in my driveway depreciating. Apart from the usual/generic things one checks when buying a used car, are there anything specific to this make and model that I should be aware of? Also, is it ok to consider private sellers or just stick to dealers? Many thanks for your thoughts and advice.

Looker Park Royal have one on their forecourt according to their website, they are sponsors of the forum and James's team are very good. V8 is a rare engine in the UK, most went to the USA and points east where diesels are unpopular. You will not find a lot of info on here about the NA V8. It has slightly less thirst than the S/C but not much less! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
