I don't think the TDV8 Ultimate Edition was available in the UK.

Over here on the continent a very limited number of Ultimate Editions TDV8 were offered at a special price, and they all came including the following goodies at a reduced all-inclusive price:

Adaptive lights
Metallic
Winter Pack
PTi
Coolbox
Sunroof
Heated steering wheel
Paddles
Logic 7
DAB Radio
Extended Leather
Premium leather seats
Contrast stitching
Adaptive Dynamics (same as in S/C)
Grand Black Lacquer

Some of those extras would have been standard in a UK HSE TDV8 anyway, but not over here. SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE BUG AND SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE WINDSHIELD

Yes as Roland said: an HSE over here dosn't have a lot of the stuff that an HSE in the UK has. It ended up that I would have paid a lot more to spec up a HSE here to get it to UK spec.

Yep mine has that. From speaking to James I think the shortage is just that very few MY10 TDV8's have been sold.

The other reason is that the TDv8 was in huge demand for the FFRR, encouraging sales of TDv6 3.0ltr meant LR would have enough TDv8 motors for that car. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I was aware about the TDV8 3.6 going out of production and was not entirely happy with the TDV6 3.0 so I have placed an ad on the net and immediately got an offer I couldn't refuse.

The buyer didn't want to wait more than six months for a brand new car to arrive and since my car was only 7 months old with little mileage, I only lost 5% of what I have paid. I was lucky in that he only wanted a Silver - Ebony RRS and mine was the only one in the entire country . Seems sometimes it really pays off not acting like a sheep.
