I bought a set of Overfinch wheels assuming they were genuine over the internet, sadly when they arrived i noticed that they were replica wheels. After a frank discussion with the seller we agreed a new price and i stuck them on my S/C

Mrs Pea hit a big pot hole ruining the tyre and ive put them in to get them refurbished, but the guy doing the refub has told me that "fake" split rim bolts will disintegrate in the chemicals he uses and suggested i try to obtain new ones before he starts.

Anyone know where i will get the "fake" allen head bolts from for these? Someone else must have been in a similar situation , Bloody RRS

I had a similar issue with a set on my mothers XK8.....

I took the fake ones out before the refurb and popped them back in after....

I also have to do this with another set but I think I will replace them with chrome or stainless bolts....

Might give it a try to get em out, failing that just paint em

If you have already knackered one and had it repaired would you really feel safe driving a car with the power of the SC knowing your may have a weakened wheel X5? Don't know how often you come up to the north side of Glasgow but come through the Clyde Tunnel, cross Anniesland Cross and about 100m beyond the bridge over the Forth and Clyde Canal on the Bearsden Road, there is a garage that always has a large range of ex "Footballers Cars" on the forecourt and often FFRR's with the Bentleys and Fezzas - couple of years ago he was selling fake LR wheels cheaply. There used to be a pub opposite the garage called Lock27 right on the canal bank 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
