Wheels Dipped

I currently have a Black RRS with the HST Conversion and 22 inch Kahn alloys.

I was thinking about getting the rims dipped in Black to give the car a completely different look.

What do you think?

Does anyone know where I can get this done and approx at what cost.

Personally I'm not keen on black alloys. But there was a post with links to an Alloy Refurb
company that seemed to do amazing work.

i'm with Endjin - i really dont like black alloys on anything......

i'd ask someone to photoshop it for you first though. post up a decent side on pic, and see what can be done?

The thing i dont like ablut blck rims is the tyres never look properly black on them also! maybe a bit picky, but i'm really not a fan!

I am in the west mids and can ask mate to do your wheels black for £150 as long as they are not too badly damaged as a favour.

Shocked Good spot Jonty. I hadn't seen the 2nd post. Embarassed That said, it is only one customers feedback and no company is perfect! Still, glad I used the words "seemed to" in my post, almost as non commital as "allegedly" Wink Whistle 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

I think your car looks v good as it is, i think you would spoil it with black wheels.

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

Is it a generation thing? My sons favour black wheels. I prefer the contrast of alloy finish. Just my 2p.

We did consider getting the Merc wheels painted black with silver rim; the process could be done by my local alloy wheel repairer that is workshop based. Does chemical clean and strip; painted and then oven baked. Would need to allow 3 days start to finish but I think that is because we were going for 2 colours effectively. Do a alloy/silver lip if you do them .......

Having the wheels painted on a Black car gives the car a really good look.

A mate of mine had his Focus ST and Gallardo wheels painted Black and it looked the business, however the company has now closed down so I cat get a price from them.

A place in Bham has quoted me £240 for all 4 wheels which include repairing any scuffs and scratches and painting them.

What do you think?

Gunmetal/anthracite coloured wheels look really good on a black car.

Poland 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Rimini Red

I was thinking for a long time whether to paint the wheels black or not. Over the last year my wheels got kerbed and scratched quite severely, so I had to repair them and paint anywway. on this ocasion I decided to paint it black. I have chosen a black matt'isch rather than shiny black and I do really like the result.
