Without wishing to returning to all the past topics, and in depth background to this subject, and assuming this hasn't already been asked

Would anyone like to provide a bit of advise on the knocking situation, I can then see other peoples perspective on this point. I'm just about to go looking for a 2007/08 TDV8, and have read a lot of the Posts on this subject,

The question is, should I be pushing the dealer into getting the LTB 00241 (Mass Absorber Kit) & LTB 00204 carried out on a car I buy, if it's not been already done, Even if I experience no signs of any knocking at this time ?

I would say make sure it is done. Mine only used to knock in cold weather. Something that wouldn't show up until winter time. 2013 RRS SDV6 Autobiography Fuji White

And on the MY2010 is there any knocking or it's a problem definitively sort out? RRS TDV8 HSE java black, privacy glass, bluetooth, clear side repetears.

From what I can gather if your MY10 left the factory in Late Feb onwards then the mass dampers are fitted. Amazingly, despite knowing of this fault for ages LR didn't fit the dampers to any cars in production before that! Mine included, and it has recently started to Knock I will be heading to my dealer as soon as I have time and asking for it to be sorted. Had the mass dampers fitted a couple of weeks ago and the ARB bushes and new clamps fitted yesterday.

Finally, no suspension noises - lets hope it lasts. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

Just a word of warning to anyone with LR Extended Warranty - Mass Damper kit NOT covered.
Argument is that nothing on the car has broken - kit is an additional item. Although kit only costs £50 plus labour at about £40, I reckon this should be covered by LR themselves as it is the final (?) attempt to correct a problem that's been there since the first RRS.

Yeah Guys, My 2007 RRS had all the work done too and was driving fabulously. Then of course I bought
the new 2010 model. The last thing I expected was to see the suspension knocking issue raise it's

Mines a 59 plt going in on Tues service desk says theyv'e never heard of this problem before but the knocking is definately getting worse  Now gone Orkney grey SDV6 HSE with body style kit contrast stitch ebony leather, privacy, black piano, 22" Lowenharts for summer, 20" with Leon LTZ for winter.
