Tom Tom 500

I have been looking around at the current GPS Satnav systems and i am very tempted to go for the Tom Tom 500, with the added bluetooth handsfree capability, it makes it very tempting.

Anyone running this model yet in their RRS ?? I would appreciate any feedback

Thanks

Yes I have an Indago and it is also excellent and doesn't need any aerial, I also have a PDA based system. Indago is also has a speed camera database and tells you when you are in an area where there is likely to be a speed camera. The database is updatable by internet download. The Indago uses Navteq data for the maps which I believe is the same as the LR system.
The reason for keeping my PDA system is that I have the whole of the UK's OS maps on a microdrive and run that when I go offroad with the car locked in the centre of the display and the map moves relative to it. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

TigerGPS.com (an authorized TomTom US online reseller) is taking preorders on both 510 and 910 and shows a late April ETA for both units. CNET recently came out with a "first take" review of the 910: http://reviews.cnet.com/TomTom_GO_910/4505...ml?tag=nav

We bought my wife a TIM TIM GO 700, seems good, loads of additional POI's you can download on t'interweb.

As soon as we bought it everyone raved on about the Tom Tom One, now there's new ones...I can't keep up with these danfangled things. L319 D4 HSE
