Need help picking!

Hi everyone,

Could do with a small bit of help, my mother is almost as bad as me at changing her car!

She used to have the P38 4.6 HSE which she had for 6+ years. Since then she has had a X5 and X3 but doesnt like the X3 now. Its the 3.0d so its quite nippy! She went out in the TD8 a few months ago and liked it, just there quite hard to find in the right colour and price.

I have found her 3 possibles;

2.7 TD6, 2007, 17K, Dealer, £27.5K

2.7 TD6, 2006, 35K, Land Rover Dealer, £28.5K

4.2 V6 super, 2006, 37K, Dealer, £29K

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/adv...?logcode=p

So which one? She only wants blue or green and is not bothered about diesel or petrol as she doesn't go that far. As the X3 is quite quick (which she likes) I think the 2.7 D might be too underpowered. But how much faster will the petrol depreciate?

So any ideas?

Cheers

How worried is she about performance? And the MPG? I recently had a 2.7 for 10 days and I don't think I could live with it every day. I hear remapping makes a big difference though so that is one option. WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

MPG does not matter at all really, she would like abit more grunt I think. What about depreciation?

Also are there many common problems on the older v8 sports?

I would think the supercharged has already had its biggest depreciation hit so at that age I don't think that will be a major concern over the TDV6. I can't help with the other question sorry. WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

Last thing, can the running boards be removed?

Its from a large dealer.
