Let me guess the unhelpful dealers are Hunters & Guy Salmon! Welcome to another fellow Surrey member 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Think the only style dog guard is the metal ones. I never saw any other type when looking for mine |

Hmm, Not good that they don't offer these bits that are standard on so many other manufacturers.

Can't you just leave the guard in all the time as I do |

1 ounce of lead just behind the left ear will normally put a stop to that kind of activity |

I move lots of "Stuff" pretty regularly, hence wanting a largish car (seats down on average 3-4 times a week). My current estate car has the fixed metal job, it's right nuisance stripping it out every time I want to fold the seats down, then having to put it all back in again. It goes a long way to wrecking the versatility of the car. |

We've got a Springer Spaniel that has a habit of not staying where she's put, invested in one of these when she was a pup and I have to say, it's waaaaaaaaaay better than around with a metal cage. Keeps all the mud / sand / grit out of the car as well

There's a lateral thinking way of solving the problem. The flexi dog kennel looks like a very viable alternative. |

Thanks for that, I'm surprised the dealers can't do better then as the Range Rover I had through the dealer network a few years back was supplied by Lex leasing under the business partner name. Thats a good price though, the best I had found was over £700.00, so I take it that is also without any options. That colour your going for looks good in the pics, makes a change from black or grey, but then I like Bali Blue so what do I know!! |

There are no options on that, the HSE really does have everything I need/want so no need for other bits. Harwoods were quite open about the coststings, more interestingly becasue they actually used Black horse/lex autolease/lloydstsb as their finanace for all business leasing. They explained the figures they'd been supplied which were higher than my quote before the dealer margin was added. At that point they had the finance rep in to explain how individuals get a better deal than the main dealer from the same company. I've now enquired at 4 dealership all different groups and no one seems to be able to touch this quote. If the resident tame dealer from Lookers would care to run some numbers I'd be delighted but I'm resonably sure he'll come across the same problem. I will add though, I was going to order a new Mercedes E350CDi sport estate, but once I'd specced it to the same level as the RRS it was the same money (on contract hire), and I'd prefer the RRS. |

I would wager a pint that James will beat the deal. |
