Iphone lead

I'm getting my 57 plate rrs td6 delivered on monday.

Could someone please help me out with where I can purchase the aux lead in order to connect my iphone 3gs to the aux input?

Help is appreciated.

The apple store either online or in town. Look for the griffin one with the inbuilt charger. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Thanks, the griffin aux with smart click seems to be around £50, any cheaper alternatives?

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Buckingham Blue

I got one from ebay for £1.99 a few weeks ago. Its about 15 inches long, works fine & lets the ipod rest under the centre console lid. You may want a slightly longer one I think there about a fiver. Doesn't charge though. D2 - D3- RRS onwards & upwards !

The best cables to use are the ones which use the dock connector, the sound quality is far better than using the headphone socket.

Some options including a charger are:

Kensington LiquidAux (iPod/iPhone version NOT Bluetooth one):
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kensington-33429EU...E/webrover

Griffin AutoPilot:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Griffin-6318ATOPLT...Q/webrover

Monster iCarCharger:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Monster-iCharger-1...G/webrover

Alternatively a cable like this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Stereo-Auxiliary-i...2/webrover
(various alternatives are available from eBay, etc)

With (if you want to charge) a MicroUSB charger:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...0482339515

This can all be neatly integrated however you want it Smile

JC1's cables are for the new 2010 integrated iPod kit, no use for your 57 plate Sad Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but to connect an iPod to the AUX, you don't use an iPod cable (like the Griffin), you use a simple 3.5mm jack > 3.5mm jack audio lead, one end in the headphone socket, the other end in the AUX socket. There is one suggestion on here for this, but aren't all the other suggestions for an iPod connection incorrect? Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+

As I said above (and you might not have seen given your post was right after mine), audio through the dock connector is a much better bet than using the headphone jack. It's definitely not incorrect as I'm doing this in my D3 Wink

But yes, It's perfectly possible to use the headphone with a 3.5mm - 3.5mm lead, it will work Smile Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

Yep, you beat me to it with a much better answer! It was just because the OP seemed to ask specifically about the AUX rather than the iPod connector. Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+

Martin, much appreicated, many thanks for this.

I'll take your advice on the dock connector cables, im very fussy over sound quality. Smile

ipod lead

i just went into my local RR dealer in Northampton to obtain a lead to connect my ipod/iphone to my RRS 2010 via the ipod connection in the centre armrest, next to the USB connection.
Dealer has quoted me £50 for the lead and yet it seems looking at the posts it is on ebay for a few quid.
Can someone confirm the cable connection type for the ipod/iphone on the RRS 2010 so i dont order the wrong thing.
Thanks Don't knock it till youv'e tried it!!!!!

The LR price list says £25 for this, so your dealer is taking the P!

However, yes, can anyone confirm if the ebay ones are the same as the current dealer ones for the MY10 models? Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+
