Put my 17 year old into a 1.0L Corsa Ins Grp 1 last October. Insurance for him as main driver was a shocker. Mainstream underwriters did not go below 3 grand. Direct line best was £2.5K.

Daughter = Girl , probably does not make much difference though MY10 3.0 HSE Santorini Black, Ivory Premium & extended leather, privacy, paddles, diamond turned alloys, Ipod lead that charges, tasmods, rrsport.co.uk stickers Jeep 4.0 High Output XJ 94 6" teraflex lift, c/w rear coils, 9500lb winch, 35" TSL super swamper boggers, safari snorkel, custom made bumpers, tom woods custom double cardon driveshaft, twin electric fans. Don't follow it..............you wont make it. The first 4 x 4 by far. |

I experimented with a few other cars - Ford Ka, Peugeot 106, Micra, Polo etc. As long as they were Gp 1 or Gp 2 did not appear to affect the premium. Went with the Corsa as I could get ABS and Airbags quite easily. The vagueries of insurance. |
