Not sure where to put this so I'll stick with General. As most of you know I sold my RRS back to the dealer over 6 weeks ago now BUT I was checking credit stuff online last week and today again and lo and behold, my APP for the RRS is still showing as being not being cleared yet!! I was handed back before the end of March, I got my cheque that week but the dealer STILL hasn't paid of the finance. Should I be worried yet as I know Im still liable for the outstanding amount? I appreciate that its just over a year before it due to be paid off but surely they can't sell the car on with finance outstanding on it??

I haven't got a copy of a used invoice from them. Went in and signed off all the paperwork for my reg plate, the Registration Document and another form which I cant remember what it was for now and never got any copies from the sales manager at all. Also that wasnt the finance company either. It was FGA Capital Ltd that is showing on my report. The amount is right though.

No paperwork at all?????? You need to confirm on Tue that it's been settled. If you wanted to fund something else then any lender would still take this borrowing into consideration so it needs to be cleared by them. If you funded the BMW then you must have a pretty pucka rating or they assumed the RRS was going. You must have bought just after the change from LRFS (Ford Credit) to LFS (FGA Cap). Good luck with it and if you need anything let Spencer or I know. James |

I was given nothing bar the cheque from them which was received by post in an envelope without even a compliment slip. I asked about any copies for me and was told anything would be posted out. The X5 was paid for cash so no funding was needed for it . The RRS was the first vehicle I've had finance on for a while now and was only taken like that due to the 0% meaning the money was better in my account than in theirs. Wish I hadnt bothered now if I'd known this would happen!!! The credit report was updated last on the 11th April so wonder if it will clear when it updates again then?? Surely they cant resell the car though with finance outstanding on it or would they get round that with me taking my plate off and an 09 going on in place so I doesnt show up on finance checks?? 11th April is quite an old report so you may find it's been settled since.

so who would be liable for the finance if somebody went in to the dealers and bought the old RRS with it still outstanding, or if they shoved it through the auction house? |

Just waiting for the dealer to call me back. They've taken the car back and sold it again and as far as the finance company are concerned its stil got an outstanding balance on it. They must have managed to finance it as my private plate went on it from new so its got a different reg on it now so I reckon thats how its gone through!! not sure on the time scale side of things here, but would of thought that a good month past would of seen a letter saying you had missed a payment. Otherwise have you checked to see if a payment has been made by you on a S/o / direct debit |

I wasnt making payments on it. it was the old 0% 50/50 deal. Nothing to pay for 2 years. If hadn't had a credit checker site I subscribe to I'd have been none the wiser about it until I got a letter in next year asking for the balance! Dealership admitted they cocked up (AGAIN) when i called them. Allegedly they never got a settlement in writing from FGA but funny they knew how much it was to deduct from the refund to give me on the car though. Told they're going to get a cheque sent off in the morning!! Allegedly....... I'll be checking back with FGA at the end of the week to make sure.
