Suspension has a mind of its own

Sorry if this has been spoken about before, but i did look in the forum stickys but couldnt see the same problem im having.
w
Was driving home from the inlaws this eve and when i stopped at a set of lights the car lowered to access mode without any warning or dings or anything, the switch in the center console still showed normal driving height but i pulled over and it was definitely sitting in access. i held the switch and the car raised again with the normal dings, but as soon as i pulled to the next set of lights it lowered again. ended up driving home with it in access mode, but when i arrived home 20 mins later i put the parking brake on and the car raised into normal mode without touching a thing. ive since taken it out again for a test drive and she seemed fine. can this be a simple gremlin or the start of something major??
oh its a 56 plate HSE

cheers

Possibly a faulty height sensor - been through any surface water recently?

Mine lost it's mind recently - there is a pic in my gallery.... LRA came out and replaced a height sensor and that sorted it - lets us know how you get on

The car was in transport mode (an air suspension ECU mode). When transporting the car drops to just above the bump stops so that the usual sinkage level of the vehicle does not slaken the ropes on the transporter when the vehicle is driven off the transporter then it needs to raise. SOmeone must have put the controller into this mode - it doesnt happen on its own!!! Trust me, i'm an Engineer!
