Land Rover Experience - Eastnor photos

Chaps

I've finally got round to uploading the photos of my G4 RRS at the Self Drive event we did at Eastnor a few weeks back. Some of them taken by me, others by the pro photographer there on the day. Fully recommend these self drive days, really useful and fun.

Suffice to say, the RRS performed admirably, only getting stuck once Embarassed

Water runs through, great fun Thumbs Up

Photos start here http://www.flickr.com/photos/27320830@N04/...165434192/

Hope you enjoy them

It took some shifting afterwards I can tell you, it's a damn sight bigger than it looks on that photo Laughing

I thought it was a lump of clay when I first went under there with the pressure washer... Ex-G4 Challenge RRS HSE, BV55 YZE. Subtle shade of orange ! Now registered YZE481 G4RRS in Melbourne.

Clean as a whistle on top, fairly clean underneath.

Just don't ask how long it took to do the underside or what state our driveway was in afterwards Laughing Ex-G4 Challenge RRS HSE, BV55 YZE. Subtle shade of orange ! Now registered YZE481 G4RRS in Melbourne.

OK, but is it true you have to engage rock crawl mode to leave your driveway now? Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+

Glutton for punishment, went again on Saturday Cool

Absolute monsoon conditions for about an hour, make for an entertaining time. A few said it felt like they driving through the rainforests such was the number of low hanging 'vines' and rivers running down the wheeltracks. It did wash most of the mud off though Sad

LRE say they're thinking of arranging some events next year for different vehicles, suggesting that perhaps having a dedicated RRS day, or FFRR day that sort of thing. No idea if it'll come to anything but they're certainly thinking about it. Biggest issue they have is they're too busy apparently, barely a day free at Eastnor right through the year doing demos Shocked

Anyway, just a couple of photos taken at the end, got a shedload more arriving from the pro photographer later this week. In summary though Thumbs Up

I love the 90 with the stencil "No pies or sausages left in this vehicle overnight". Classic! Laughing

Australia 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey

A slightly off-topic question: Do they need to do anything to the front suspension to carry the extra weight of the winch on the G4 cars? I remember the unit on my D2 weighed a tonne (not quite) and the front end dropped about 2 inches with the standard springs. 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey with Alpaca premium leather, Adaptive cruise, Adaptive Bi-xenons, sunroof, Premium Nav, Premium ICE Logic 7, telephone, active locking rear diff, console coolbox, seat memory, powerfold mirrors, tow pack, window tint, dual battery, engel fridge, Goodyear Mud-Terrain tyres.
