I'd like to find out from fresh buyers who have just recently placed an order for a Diesel how long they'll have to wait for their car to arrive.

Is it still about six months or has the situation improved in the meantime?

Ordered a TDV6 HSE in early August from Guy Salmon in Thames Ditton - delivery date originally early December - now brought forward to end of November (around 23rd I think), so about 3 months .... hth

Original talks with local dealer earlier this month, showed a delivery time in January some time. Went to a car broker who found a cancelled order with another dealer. Deposit to delivery took under two weeks, but that I think is a rare event... more like 3-4 months seems to be the norm.

Ordered late July, estimated September 15th, arrived at dealers for collection on September 2nd.

Been told that if i place an order before the end of month will receive vehicle in January

How lucky you are guys. I've placed an order in August and have to wait til March !!! Hopefully it's just my dealer not being properly informed and the car does arrive much sooner.

Just wondered if anyone had any updates on this subject.......ordered mine on 11th July and was told it would be around mid November delivery....contacted the dealer on numerous occasions to receive the following answers.
1.Bulletin date on system 26th January but should be earlier than that.
2.No actual build date but dealer expects it to be built in October so November looking likely again.
3.Dealer unavailable, but call Land Rover Belux now showing build date of January 13th but should still receive in January ? Apparently some cars for this year had been put back to next year, on what criteria I ask...no answer....

Any light on this mystery would be helpful, going to speak to the dealer tomorrow to try get a realistic answer.......

No problem I know that being on the continent the waiting times could vary from the one's in the UK, I am more annoyed about the different stories I am getting week to week. I just want some transparency and a real explanation regarding my vehicle.

Going to the dealer today in person to demand some answers.

It looks like car salesmen are the same everywhere in the world!

Got fed up with constantly being told different information, called Land Rover UK Customer Services and was assisted by a very nice chap who liased with the Production department. My build date was the 13th January for February delivery......after stating my case, complaining, begging etc etc it's now been moved to the 2nd December so I should get the vehicle this year ! My faith in customer service has been restored and I only hope this was the first and last fuzzy experience I have.

Now very excited about December but at least it's not February.
