Thought Id put 'em here.

Since its not a RRS this time round then I thought I'd better put them in here.

Pics of the new X5.

The reversing camera. The lines show where your heading depending on the steering.

Finally got him clayed and polished.

Interior before I got it cleaned properly. Incredibly comfy though.

Hope you like him. Current, M135i in Estoril Blue with more extras than the cast of Ben Hur.

I've always seemed to notice with British cars that they always seem to be behind the drag curve when it comes to technology, either they offer things as extras when they're standard with most other manufacturers, or their implementation isn't as good as the competition, e.g. SatNav, reversing cameras, phone integration etc etc Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+

Looks nice Thumbs Up

Just let down by wooden trim inserts, which I don't like on any car, Confused why put brown wood in a grey car with black interior, it just clashes to my eyes

Australia 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

A mate of mine has the 4.8i version. The thing goes like the clappers (upto our pathetic speed limits) and goes round corners like the proverbial rails. It has those sports seats that hug you when it starts.

I like it a lot except the ride is so unbelievably hard one wonders whether BMW forgot to add any suspension. The V8 growl is quite intoxicating although it likes a drink of PULP.

Even he admits that there is no comparison in terms of ride comfort when compared with the RRS. His SWMBO wants him to move it on and get an RR of some description because its easier on her bot bot. (She doesn't really understand the difference between an FFRR and an RRS)

I hope it does well for you 4 wheel after your soured RRS experience. Thumbs Up Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

Thanks BKHK and NP. I've the dynamic pack on mine BKHK which gives it the M-Sport suspension but I can't say I find it a hard ride even on our potholed roads over here. It probably is harder than the RRS but then I have to admit I find myself having more confidence in the corners with the X5. That and it goes like a scalded cat too. Pulling power in the gears is phenomenal. On the climbing lane coming home here up a fair hill its about 15mph quicker than the RRS!! I'll have the caravan on at the weekend taking it for it's service so I'll see how well it pulls it along then. Current, M135i in Estoril Blue with more extras than the cast of Ben Hur.

The last Freelander loaner I had had the same colour combo NP. X5 has some aluminium in it too which I find odd I must admit. I'd have thought it would be aluminium OR the wood stuff but not both. Current, M135i in Estoril Blue with more extras than the cast of Ben Hur.

I agree, both is odd, I'm sure designer must think wood makes it classy as Rolls Royce use it

maybe Alluminium trims could be bought and replace them Idea

still if your happy and it's better than your old RRS it's nothing to worry about

enjoy It Thumbs Up

I wouldn't say better NP. RRS had plenty of good points. Bow down In the end it was reliability and the dealer not being able to say for sure it was fixed after 9 weeks. Big Cry Still like the brand BUT circumstances led me to get a new motor sooner rather than later so I went for the best I could get for the cash I had available. I was content to wait for a decent used RRS to come up but sh*t happened in this case and the X5 came up at the right money. For what I paid for it for the HUGE spec thats on it I can live with a bit of faux wood!! Thumbs Up Current, M135i in Estoril Blue with more extras than the cast of Ben Hur.
