2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 Java Black
RRS 2005 | Cycle Rack

Sorry if this has been covered before but I did a search and didn't get back anything I was looking for.

Me and the kids go cycling occasionally and at the moment it's down to me to take the bikes to bits and get them in the back, however, I am now getting rather fed up with this. Smile

I have Google'd various queries but I don't see a RRS specific answer and frankly it all looks rather confusing, what I am wanting is a rack that can plug into the tow bar position (with electrics to keep Mr Plod happy) for 3 or 4 bikes. Does anyone have any recommendations that they can pass on?

thanks a million,

Stuart

thanks for that, I saw that site but what parts do I need to get? (hence my confusion). Knowing me I would order the wrong bits.

Cheers,

Stuart

Hav looked into this, but so far have not taken the plunge.

The thule tow bar mounted options look best as you can tip them away from the boot even with bikes loaded.

Several options prices for different needs pockets, This is one option Thule - Thule 946004

Haven't looked at other options as clips or straps on the rear spoiler is a definate no,no.

Hi Stuart

Just been there and done that Very Happy

This is what I used....

RRS 05 - 09 Detachable towbar - 377137 - www.pfjones.co.uk

RRS - 13Pin Dedicated wiring kit Jan 2005> - www.pfjones.co.uk

Thule Euroclassic G5 909, 3-4 bike tilting carrier. - www.roofbox.co.uk

http://www2.thule.com/Thule/ProductPage____83131.aspx

To carry four bikes you will need adapter 9081

I carry 3 bikes and it works a treat.

It's not cheap but it is easy to fit and tilts down far enough to let my 14 stone dog jump in the boot Shocked

Hope this helps you a wee bit.

Steven
