Long trip fuel economy

I think I may have smashed Kam's 31.4mpg record on my trip back to Stirling from Brum today. Due to miles and miles of 40 and 50mph limited m'way round Brum I got a cracking start after brimming the tank at the Total filling station on the A45 just before the LR turn-off, from there to just south of Manchester the mpg display actually got up to 33.9mpg with the clear road and no wind to speak off.
By the time I had turned into my drive at home, after climbing up to Shap and Beattock summits and the run back down into the Scotish central belt that had evened out at 33.3mpg for the trip and a total average speed of 62.1mph. At no time did I exceed the sped limits and I had 1x15 minute stop and 1 x 30 minute stop on the way back. Chuffed? You bet! Just shows what is possible if you sit back and enjoy the road and cruise at just about steady speed/revs for 5 hours with no foot to the floor accelerations or stamping on the brake! Boring........ well I have to admit it.... yes! AND I only saw 2 RRS going north, one Java HSE that appeared to be trying to break the sound barrier he was going so fast and the other one was an Arctic Frost HSE that I assume from it's reg (V8 ODD) to be a 4.4HSE!
Here are the pics of my trip computer on arrival home:

Now I have a small amount of car washing to do from last weekend...... Crying or Very sad At leats it appears to have been warm and dry up here while I have been in the Midlands and the mud has all dried onto the Def which means a soft brush will get most of the crud off before hosing it down!
