Bahrain 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Nara Bronze
(Probably) moving on up!

Hi guys,

Been a while since I've posted. Just wanted to get some thoughts on the following:

So looks like I'll be trading the RRS S'charged for a 2010 S'charged. However, there's a part of me that wants to get the FFRR S'charged. I'm sure some of you have already been in the same boat, what were your decisions??

Some + points for the FFRR:

- More luxurious interior
- That TFT dashboard and DVD/Nav screen!

And some - points:

- No paddle shift?
- Still doesn't look as good as the RRS

Any help to this obviously frustrating junction in my life would be much appreciated! Bow down

ps. Im sure this topic has been done to death, so if you're too lazy, just point me in the right direction Thumbs Up

It's simples - go for the RRS as the FFRR is soooooooooooooooo old! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

I am going through the same thing......I have pretty much made up my mind to go from RRS to FFRR.....I agree the FFRR doesn't look as good.......particularly the front....until you put an Overfinch front and rear bumper on and then IT LOOKS BETTER!

Re paddle shift....who cares? waste of time on a car like the RRS or FFRR

Think you can only do an Overfinch in FFRR - very classy and makes a statement. And if you like the RRS in looks, go for an Overfinch RRS in either white or black and do the 5.0 S/C....but I know what you mean about the FFRR interior - it is amazing, and so cool and sexy. I saw the Autobiography RRS on the weekend, and although nice, doesn't compare with an Overfinch - and James will kick me for saying that!

in my humble opinion, I loved my old style RR even though the car itself was a complete lemon, decided on RRS purely for looks, so much more stylish, never liked the look or shape of the current FFRR purple people eater

Shocked Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

well I am biased, but I think the Sport is dating quicker than the FFRR - plus the first Sportys have been out over 5 years now - so they are not exactly babies Wink

For some reason I keep wishing my current SC had paddle shifters.. Waste of time, i personally don't think so, I mean, why am I looking at the 5 litre S'charged engine! Razz

Any other + or - points for each model?

No decision in my opinion big daddy all the way utter class, and what are you all talking about " not as good looking" far better if you ask me.

But and this is a a BIG BUT ask yourself so you want to drive around in class or do you want to have a fantastic looking luxury car and still a RR but one that you can enjoy driving enthusiastically then stay with the RRS.

what ever you decide you will still enjoy.

Think the new interior in the my10 closes the gap in terms of luxury not quite FFRR standards but not far behind and i prefer the look of the RRS over the FFRR but its just my pesonal taste each to there own and i wouldnt rule out buying a FFRR in the future. 2016 bmw x5 40d m-sport space grey
