Just a warning about this Ebay seller, I paid for LR parts from him and they never arrived. He promised to re-send but never did. Then ignored my emails. I filed a dispute case with Ebay but he has ignored both them and me!

Thankfully it was only £42, but he had a 100 Feedback score off of almost 700 transactions - something is not quite right here.

In his ad he claims to be a ex LR mechanic - maybe he's a forum member?

Anyway, just be careful.

You pay with paypal? You'll get £ back ....

Paid with PP, but because I waited on his promises the 45 day claim window passed- damn!

Never believe promises on eBay.
I filed all my complaints after a week max.
Better fire first, then withdraw if legit.

A good way of backing up the PayPal buyer protection is to make sure you've got no money in your PayPal account and use your credit card to fund the purchase through PayPal. That way you also get the advantage of having paid by credit card if anything goes wrong. PayPal are more likely to listen to your card company if they say they are going to reverse the payment than if it's just a buyer who's lost out.

FWIW I think PayPal is criminal, but unfortunately you can't avoid using them unless you decide to miss out on some of the genuine bargains on eBay. As above I use my credit card through Paypal. Trust NO b*ggar is my motto!! Its worked up till now unless you count car dealers...........................  Current, M135i in Estoril Blue with more extras than the cast of Ben Hur.
