Mate you could always park up outside and put stickers all over your car telling the dealer how they are and how your car is a lemon and then see what they do......what have you got to lose???

When living in Thailand a case similar to yours provoked the toyata owner to take it back to the garage one last time. (Yep it was a toyota)

This time he took several hammers and smashed it to bits on the garage forecourt, the press coverage was everwhere and then toyota opened their ears and a replacement was found.

Hope the situation improves seems a big drop perhaps when paint is sorted you would be better off trying to sell it privatley, because all they are going to do is sell it on for another profit andf then profit further from having to carry yet more work out on it. Deny them the profit at least

Had a similar problem with an AMG Merc a few years ago, dealer damaged it, stupid repairs not done properly, rejected the car the day before it was 6 months old, got a replacement vehicle with no cost to myself and better specced as well. The law says that any defect that occurs within the first 6 months is deemed to have been there since new, I told delaer this and said I would not buy a car that had those defects and as such was rejected.

Good solicitor is your way forward, my personal experience of LR is not particularly happy one and as for the dealer, Stratstone in Newport, I would never recommend them and have no problem in naming them.

I sympathise with you and you must go down every route to nail this dealer. How dare they damage your car while its in for repair.

I'm sure everyone would like to have the dealer named and shamed. If they have anything about them (the dealer) they will be on this forum and will take this sort of issue seriously. If I was in their shoes I would have someone on this forum every day looking at every fault and every complaint. I reckon I could clear up.

CHPR (or whatever your new name is...) - when the new TDV8 engine comes out and the complete revamp of the car - I presume in about 3 years - I will be happy to travel 200 miles down to London to pick it up - social media gives power to the consumer - this forum does a great job - now stop me before I start welling up!
